Warwick rises two places to be ranked 6th in UK in Times and Sunday Times League table
The UK’s Times and Sunday Times newspapers have announced today, Friday 18th September 2015, that the University of Warwick has risen to 6th place overall in their league table of UK universities.
This news comes less than a week after the QS annual World University Rankings also named Warwick as one of the world’s top 50 universities ranking Warwick as 48th in the world. A rise of 13 places.
The Times and Sunday Times said:
“It is another stellar year for universities in the West Midlands, with the University of Warwick – winner of The Times and The Sunday Times University of the Year award last year – jumping up another two places in the league table to sixth place nationally. It remains the top university in the West Midlands”
Commenting on the success Warwick’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Nigel Thrift, said:
“This year every single national and international university league table has brought good news for Warwick and this is obviously even more welcome news in this Warwick’s 50th anniversary year. This consistent endorsement of Warwick’s achievements as a university are a tribute to the work of Warwick staff and students that has underpinned that success.”
