The work to improve to improve the lighting in the lab is proceeding well. The new lighting should provide improved lighting in the lab and the more efficient LED lighting will also help reduce our Carbon foot print.

he Spectroscopy RTP Lab will be closed from the Monday 11th of September until Monday 18th of September for the essential maintenance on the lighting in the lab. There will be no access to equipment in the lab during this period, including PCs etc. please plan your experiments accordingly.

The Renishaw Invia (325,442,633) [Ernie] spectrometer will be unavailable for booking from Monday 13^th of February until noon on Monday 27^th of February whilst it is performing a long and complex set of measurements.

Also during this period Renishaw Invia (514.5, 785 ) [Bert] will have the remote/automated XY stage installed and will be able to perform mapping measurements but be aware that the system will still have a manual Z.

Please be aware that all the spectroscopy labs will be shut down and unavailable for experiments from the 19th of December until the 3rd of January. There will no access to the equipment for users during his period.
