Travel and Parking

When making travel plans, please make sure you plan to arrive to campus with sufficient time to find the venues, and collect tickets and robes. All graduands/graduates and guests must be seated in the Butterworth Hall at least 30 minutes before the ceremony start time. We strongly advise that you arrive a minimum of one hour before your ceremony start time.

Parking

On campus parking (payable in advance) will be available for graduates and their guests attending in July 2024. On approach to campus, please follow the yellow "Warwick Graduation" signs to direct you to the car parks. The recommended car parks for graduation are Kirby Corner Car Park and Lynchgate Car ParkLink opens in a new window.

Please note that it is a 10-15 minute walk from the car parks to the venue. If any passengers in your vehicle have difficulty walking, but are not blue badge holders, you are welcome to drop passengers off nearer to the Arts Centre before parking your car, just please make sure to allow time for this.

The University of Warwick campus operates a cashless payment system, with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) parking systems in all of the main campus car parks. We recommend that you book your parking in advance to save time on the day.

Book your Parking in Advance

To save you needing to pay for parking on the day of your visit, you can pre-pay for your parking in advance. Simply select which parking option you need from the weekday options. Then select the date you will park and for how long you will need the parking for - see the Key Timings to help guide you. After you’ve filled in your personal details and your registration number, the charge will then be calculated and you can pay online in advance of your visit to us. Please note that you will not be allocated a specific car park or space.

From outside of the station, there are regular bus services to campus such as the National Express bus 12X which travels onto main campus. Taxis are also available from outside of the station.

West Midlands Bus on Demand

West Midlands Bus On Demand is a Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service that meets you wherever you are. The service is a cross between a taxi and a bus. You can book rides when you're ready to go, or pre-book rides days in advance. More information about this service is available on our websiteLink opens in a new window.
