About the Survey

NSS

The University takes the results of the National Student Survey very seriously. Your feedback helps to shape and improve teaching, learning and student support at Warwick for future generations.

As a Warwick student, you're an expert on life as a Warwick undergraduate, so your experience and opinions are vital. That's why we would love to hear your feedback on your satisfaction with your course.

Eligible students will be entered into a prize draw for a variety of different prizes.

How do I access the Survey?

The survey will run from Monday 5 February 2024 - Tuesday 30 April 2024 and takes just five to ten minutes to fill in. You can see the questions included in the NSS 2024 here. The easiest way to complete the survey is online, by following the personalised link that will be sent to you on Thursday 8 February 2024 by the independent research company Ipsos MORI who run the survey.

Alternatively, you can sign yourself in at www.thestudentsurvey.com. A few weeks after the survey start date, Ipsos MORI will text and call students who have not yet completed the survey online. From Monday 8 January 2023, you can opt out of the survey by telling Ipsos MORI (via the survey websiteLink opens in a new window - the link will go live on Monday 8 January 2023) that you do not wish to complete it. Ipsos MORI should not attempt further contact again once you have opted out.

As the survey is a task carried out in the public interest, your contact details will be transferred to Ipsos MORI for the purpose of the NSS only. All the data are held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. All your responses will remain strictly anonymous and at no point will you be identified. All information will be securely deleted by Ipsos MORI after the survey closes and will not be shared with any third parties. More information is available on the NSS website at Privacy Policy – National Student Survey : National Student Survey (thestudentsurvey.com).

What happens to the results?

The results are intended to help future students decide where to study. They help to ensure that universities are achieving the high standards they set for themselves. All responses are treated as strictly confidential and will remain strictly anonymous. No personally identifiable information is available to anyone at the University. All information will be securely deleted by Ipsos MORI after the survey closes and will not be shared with any third parties. The results are published on Discover UniLink opens in a new window and by the Office for StudentsLink opens in a new window in the summer. The more students respond, the more reliable the results.
