This work presents simple rounded shapes suggesting the form of a bird set within a geometric framework. Ole Bjorn plays with the meeting and contrast of curved and angular shapes and there is perhaps a sense of transformation and evolution. Flying Bird also refers to the familiar image of the dove as representing peace, a theme in other work by Bjørn - he was represented in an international 'Art for Peace' exhibition in 1983.
