Nominations to represent the Assembly on the Senate

Nominations are invited for one member of the Assembly to serve as a representative of the Assembly on the Senate through to 31 July 2021. The new member will replace Dr Thijs van Rens who has commenced a period of study leave.

In light of the current membership of the Senate, on this occasion a nominee from the Assembly must be a member of academic staff who is not a professor; the nomination must also be proposed and seconded by members of the Assembly with the consent of the nominee. Full details on Assembly membership can be viewed here.

To create a nomination, emails each sent separately from the proposer, the seconder and the nominee (confirming their consent to be nominated), should be sent to Phil Griffiths, on behalf of the Registrar, at senate at warwick dot ac dot uk by the end of Wednesday 24 October 2018.

If more than one nomination is received, an election by electronic ballot will be held during the period 12 November – 23 November 2018. Each nominee will be asked to provide a supporting statement by the end of Wednesday 2 November 2018; the statement must be no more than 300 words and tailored to the role of representing the Assembly on the Senate. The supporting statements from each nominee will be published on the ballot webpage for the duration of the election. If an election is held, further information will be posted on insite and emailed to all members of the Assembly on Monday 12 November.
