High Capacity Filestore 'Shared' is a fully managed storage service designed to scale to multiple petabytes. Optimised for large project, archive and research data it includes several data protection features. The current cost of this service is £15/TB/Yr including backup.

Depending on your requirements, you can either request storage on our shared array or purchase a dedicated array that we would design and run on your behalf. Please note that you are required to purchase a minimum of 5TB of space when creating a new High Capacity Filestore 'Shared' space but after that you can go up in increments from as little as 1TB.

When using High Capacity Filestore 'Shared' we are able to create you complex permission groups within the share itself allowing you to grant various users access to different parts of your share.

We also have a companion service called 'High Capacity Filestore Exclusive' which is designed for users that only need a network space just for themselves with no requirment to share the space with others. Unlike the 'Shared' service that requires you to purchase 5TB to begin with 'Exclusive' allows you to start at just 1TB for only £15 a year including backup.

The service is reliable, secure and provides a range of file access methods:

File Access	Windows Fileshare (SMB, with Active Directory integration).
Storage Optimisation	Systems are optimised for resiliency and capacity.
Hardware & Software	UPS reduces the impact of datacentre powerloss. Dual 10Gbit network connectivity. OpenZFS Filesystem
DR / Backups	Snaphots taken every hour allow us to recover from user error, viruses and malware attacks. The entire system is replicated every evening to allow us to recover from catastrophic system failure.
Maintenance	High Capacity Filestore has a maintenance window scheduled every Wednesday from: 2:00pm - 4:00pm
