* This drop was caused by a combination of a network failure, which caused a small percentage of requests to take ~3.5 seconds, over a period of about 3 weeks, and a 4-hour outage of web-sign-on.

** This drop was caused by an extended period of downtime (1am-5am) caused in turn by a failure to recover from a brief network outage. The cause of this failure has now been identified and corrected

Availability off-campus, as measured by Pingdom.com (30 second timeout, from at least 2 out of 10 locations ) (no target set)

* This might seem contrived. But 5 seconds is the threshold at which other applications will time-out a request to websignon, and since the vast majority of WSOS-enabled apps live in our datacentres, that's where we should measure from.
