Impact of disabled TLS 1.0 and 1.1 connections on Mac users
We have disabled TLS 1.0 and 1.1 encryption protocols across the University's web services. Doing so prevents these protocols from being used to access Warwick websites via an insecure web browser or application. We made this change to keep the University's sites safe and secure.
You can no longer access parts of the website using the Safari web browser, and older versions of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, on Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) or older.
We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of macOS.
If this is not possible – for example because your Mac model or OS X version do not meet Apple's system requirements – we recommend that you either:
- upgrade to OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)
- use the latest version of Chrome or Firefox instead of Safari
