Delete files

Removing a file from SiteBuilder is a two-step process which involves first deleting a file, then purging it. You can restore deleted files if required; purged pages cannot be recovered. For this reason, we do not recommend purging pages unless you're absolutely sure you will not need them again.

Delete files

  1. Navigate to the parent page above the files you want to delete.

  2. Go to Edit > More in the top right user menu:

A page Edit menu with the 'More' option highlighted

  3. On the Files tab, select the file you want to delete from the list, then select the Delete button:

The 'Sub-pages' screen, with pages to be deleted selected, and the 'Delete' button highlighted

Tip: To select multiple files, hold the Ctrl/Cmd key.

  4. A confirmation pop-up appears with a summary of the files to be deleted:

If you're happy with the list, select Delete.

Tip: After deleting selected file, we recommend you check your remaining live pages to make sure that everything is still working correctly before you purging the file. This way, if a file was deleted by accident, for example, or if it's used on other pages, you can restore the deleted file.
