A practical discussion with knowledge sharing, examining how the REF cycles have affected academic publishing and the knock on effect for academics at all levels of their careers. The workshop takes the writing of research as a focus for the discussion, but also examines practical aspects of developing a writing strategy in response to the issues that arise. The aim is to equip delegates with knowledge to help make them become more effective researchers in the current marketplace, and to empower them to create positive change in their departments.
Who should attend?
Research Active Staff (Research, Academic or Teaching terms & conditions) working in expectation of a REF2020 submission.
We do not accept applications from postgraduates or research students. Students should refer to the Student Career and Skills website for details of workshops designed specifically to meet their needs.
