Designing Effective Exam and Essay Questions
This is a practical workshop in which you will conisder:
- the topic(s) of the questions
- characteristics of well-worded questions
- traps to avoid when designing questions
- useful key words, related to learning outcomes
There will also be the opportunity to examine the strengths and weaknesses of questions you have set in the past and to consider the evaluation of questions in other roles such as external examining and validation panels.
