Interdisciplinary Teaching & Learning
In inter- and transdisciplinary teaching and learning, normally stable discipline boundaries are suspended in the collaborative interaction of students from different faculties. Vital in this is an approach to teaching that facilitates such collaboration, and that takes place in spaces that are ‘open.’ In this interactive workshop we will work together to consider some of the opportunities and challenges of teaching outside disciplinary structures using inter- and transdisciplinary pedagogic techniques and develop approaches to facilitating interdisciplinarity in the classroom using undergraduate modules from the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning as a case study.
Lunch will be provided at 1.30pm before the workshop begins.
