The Research-Teaching Nexus

The Research-Teaching Nexus: A dynamic relationship with learning at its heart

In this interactive workshop we will explore the relationship between teaching and research from a range of perspectives (academic, student, university), exposing the tensions and synergies between these two pillars of academic work/life. By viewing the relationship between research and teaching as a dynamic one, we will step over the threshold of ‘research-led’ or ‘research-informed’ teaching, into a space where learners are transformed into co-producers of research and immersed in their discipline pedagogies. The implications of placing learning at the centre of the RTN for our individual academic identities and teaching practice will be considered.
