Life and work of Lenin

This sequence of slides on the life of Vladimir Lenin (from a revolutionary socialist point of view) was put together by Henry Sara using images from magazines, pamphlets and other publications. Unfortunately Sara's notes for this talk haven't survived, but we have been able to write captions for some images by using some of Sara's source material (including 'Lenin', a commemorative pamphlet published by Neuer Deutscher Verlag, Berlin, in 1925) together with additional information from elsewhere. The Burnley News of 30 November 1932 includes a reference to Henry Sara's recent lecture on 'The life of Lenin' to the Padiham Weavers' Institute.

Some slides have suffered damage from mould, which attacked the glue binding the glass slides together.
