Frequently asked questions

How is the price of our food and drink decided?

We work hard with our suppliers to make sure we offer a wide choice of healthy, delicious and sustainable food and drink to the wide variety of customers who visit our outlets. We pay all our staff a living wage which is calculated here. We also perform regular research of high street stores to make sure our prices are competitive. We take all of these considerations into account when pricing the high quality food we serve.

How do we decide on the menu options around campus?

We have a large and diverse number of customers who use our cafes and restaurants therefore we try and offer an affordable variety of options. For example, healthy snack options such as nuts, yoghurts, and fruit, as well as boxed salads, sushi and smoothies are offered at selected outlets across campus. In our larger cafes and restaurants, we always offer vegetarian alternatives as well as any main meal being served with a choice of vegetables and for smaller hot meals, we offer a soup of the day option.

What are Warwick Food Group doing to be more sustainable?

We are always working towards being more sustainable, currently we offer incentives for customers to buy or bring reusable cups to our hot drink outlets as well as reduced prices on certain food options when they are eaten using reusable containers.

Why do we charge a little extra for dairy alternatives?

Due to the dairy alternatives being a less popular and having a higher cost, the costs per unit of product is considerably higher which makes the price slightly higher, this does mean that we can still provide high quality coffee and service to all of our customers.

Dairy alternatives are free if a customer buys a filter coffee, Americano or tea.
