On Thursday 22 June, we held our annual Activator Awards Evening to celebrate all the hard work and dedication of our team of activators, without whom our programme would not be able to run. We had around 50 guests including activators, and invited guests. We were lucky enough to have a couple of notable names join us to celebrate, including Chris Ennew and David Moorcroft. We were also joined by Mel Mansfield and Sarah Taylor from Wasps Netball who delivered a talk on the importance of volunteers to all levels of sport and their own personal stories. We awarded colours to all those who had volunteered over 15 hours and presented awards in nine categories. There was a great atmosphere on the night with many of the activators staying to enjoy a barbeque after the awards presentation.

Thank you to the activators who have dedicated so much of their time and efforts to the programme over the last academic year. We are sad to say goodbye to those who are graduating but wish them all the best for the future and we look forward to working with those who are returning next year!
