Update on recent street crime and personal safety

Following a recent spate of street crime affecting Warwick students in the local area, the University is working hard in partnership with the police to protect the victims and all students. Our local police take these incidents and the safety of all students very seriously. After several incidents near Shultern Lane and Cannocks Lane in Cannon Park, on Westwood Way and in Canley, arrests have now been made and investigations are continuing. There are a number of support routes open to students affected by these incidents. The Campus Security website has details of a number of ways students can report an incident, which can be found here. The Wellbeing Support Service can provide initial advice for students affected by crime of any kind, which can be found here. The SU has information on its website for those who fall victim of hate crime, including how to report the crime to local police and the many ways to access support available on campus.
