The ACAS guide to the new Equalities Act 2010
Acas offer a useful summary guide to the new The Equality Act that became law in October 2010. This act replaced previous legislation (such as the Race Relations Act 1976 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995) and ensures consistency in what you need to do to make your workplace a fair environment and to comply with the law.

It is important that mentors help students to consider the important role differentiation can play in raising levels of achievement. Differentiation means recognising that each learner in a class differs from other learners in many ways. Student teachers need to learn how to plan for learning so that all learners achieve their learning goals.
