About Me

Helen is an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in environmental biology. She joined the University of Warwick in June 2007 as an Assistant Research Fellow, supporting the work of the NHS Centre for Involvement's Evidence for Practice Directorate. This work involves developing an evidence base for activity in Patient and Public Involvement (PPI).

Prior to her current role Helen worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Evidence-Based Conservation, undertaking systematic reviews in conservation and environmental management. Helen's background is in environmental biology and biodiversity conservation, although she is also a qualified librarian. Helen's research interests have developed from the purely scientific to encompass aspects of information provision, evidence-based practice and social science.

When not researching, Helen can be found out and about enjoying nature or outdoor pursuits, armed with her trusty camera!
