With thanks to the University of Warwick’s Widening Participation Development Fund, on Friday 16^th and Saturday 17^th June, young participants from our Play Code Share project will be exhibiting their work at Warwick Arts Centre. Their creative coding creations will be displayed alongside work by professional digital artists using the same techniques. You will be able to explore games, objects, and moving artworks. The Friday is principally for the schools involved but the event is open to all on Saturday.

The Saturday will be hosted by Year 9 project participants from President Kennedy School and will also include a varied programme of participatory workshops by professional digital artists including:

• 'Body=Device’ Using live code environment to create 3d moving visuals and FX for live performance.

• ‘PatternCraft’ Using punchcards and an arudino reader to create generative style minecraft structures in mine craft using raspberry pi.

• Build your own weird musical instrument using scrap materials and touch sensitive electronics. Craft a floppy guitar, a saggy bagpipe or a limp piano that plays beats or sings, then rock out with your bandmates in a colourful, otherworldly parade.

• Try out 3D printing with FabLab Coventry

 

There will also be a chance to use our Cinema as a gaming screen to experience games that the young people have created on the big screen.
