This is a FREE event, designed to support local secondary school children who are studying Shakespeare. The event includes a screening of the 1999 film Shakespeare in Love, followed by a lively discussion/forum with leading scholars in the field, including visiting Professor Carole Levin, who is the Willa Cather Professor of History & Director, Medieval and Renaissance Studies Programme at the University of Nebraska.  

The event will run on Thursday 7th July 10-2, in MS02 in the Zeeman Building at the University of Warwick. We are asking students to bring a packed lunch.  

This represents an excellent opportunity for school children of all ages (key stages 3-5) to gain valuable insight into Shakespeare’s world, his work, and his enduring relevance. It would be an excellent primer for the study of Shakespeare across all key stages, but also an opportunity for younger learners to experience university life.  

Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis so we ask that schools email us ASAP with numbers to ensure that your spaces can be booked.  

If you would like to attend but travel expenses/cover supervision presents an issue please do get in touch as we may be able to offer some financial support or otherwise help you find a solution.
