Year 9 Languages Day: City of Culture Awards

Pupils will be divided into small language groups (French, German, Italian, or Spanish) and asked to produce a poster making the case for their hometown to be awarded 2018 City of Culture to a panel of judges from France, Germany, Italy or Spain (staff from Languages at Warwick). Pupils will have the chance to practise written and spoken language skills. There will be a prize for the winning entries in each language. We expect the programme to run from 11am to 3.30pm, with registration open from 10.30am.  We expect approximately 15 students to attend from each school, but this may be flexible.  Pupils should attend in school uniform.

 

This event replaces the previously advertised ‘Languages Day’ which had been scheduled to take place in February.
