Group Project Sign Up

Fancy yourself as the next Steve Jobs, Victoria Beckham or Oprah Winfrey?
Or maybe you have your sights set on the Oscars one day in the future?
Well, here is your chance to get a first taste of entrepreneurship and film making!

You have a choice of two projects that your school team can sign up to. We would expect that schools with up to 5 UniTracks members would select the same project. Groups of over 5 may like to consider splitting and taking on different projects.

Both projects will start with a 2-day event on Friday 10 - Saturday 11 January 2020. Once you have completed all your tasks, you will be ready to come back onto campus on Tuesday 24 March 2020 to present your completed project to a panel of judges!

The Big Deal – a business enterprise competition

Your team will come up with an idea for a product, service or social enterprise that meets a need you have identified for your local area. You will work with a mentor and have a series of tasks to complete before presenting your idea to a panel of judges.

Shooting the Past – local history project, working with the departments of History and Film/Television Studies

Through a series of tasks, your team will work together to create a mini-documentary on a topic of local history for your area. You will be supported by UniTracks Mentors and will come back to campus to present your film to a panel of judges.

You only need to complete the box for your preferred project
Please rank in order of preference the two projects on offer next term
By ticking this box, our team understands that this is a 10-week project and we will need to do this alongside our studies, extra-curricular activities and other school projects (required)
